Sherry Ross is an award winning Artist, Arts Advocate and Adjudicator, Arts Consultant, and Teacher residing in Central Florida.

Her primary media are photography and painting, both watercolor and acrylic. Again and again, she explores themes of translucence and opacity, while weaving in classical art imagery, and her trademark humor.

Active in her local Arts scene, Ross serves as the president of the Lakeland Arts Association and helps create and develop programming for the artistic community at large. She is a regular participant in art shows, as both an exhibitor, supporter, and an adjudicator. Recently, the Polk Arts and Cultural Alliance recognized her as 2024 Arts Volunteer of the Year.

After receiving her B.S. in Fine Arts from Florida State Univerity, she received a Master’s in Educational Leadership from University of South Florida. As an Art teacher for over thirty years, Ms. Ross has developed a very successful program, guiding students onto scholarships and careers in art. She has served as an APAD reader for the College Board for over a decade and currently provides APAD training for AP Art teachers around the world.
